Според основателя на Facebook Марк Зукърбърг един на всеки седем души в света е използвал социалната мрежа на 24 август.

Facebook твърди, че има 1,49 млрд. активни потребители всеки месец, но 1 млрд. влезли в профила си в сайта само за 24 часа е нов рекорд на американската компания. Въпреки това има няколко марки, които докосват живота на повече хора всеки ден, коментира Guardian.

Една от тях е Colgate. Според проучване на Kantar 65% от световното население използва тази марка за зъби.

С много грубото предложение, че повечето хора мият зъбите си всеки ден, от медията смятат, че поне няколко милиарда души я използват всеки ден. Което е добра новина за стоматолозите.

Не толкова добра новина за тях е, че според Coca-Cola компанията продава ежедневно 1,9 млрд. бройки от огромния си асортимент напитки в цял свят, въпреки че цифрите включват и брандовете с плодови сокове и води.

В дигиталната сфера Windows представя цифри, сравними с тези на Facebook. Microsoft изчислява, че 1,5 млрд. души използват различен брой пъти софтуера ѝ всеки ден. Компанията отчита и 1,2 млрд. потребители на Office пакета си, но тези цифри са общи, а не на всеки 24 часа.

Изключвайки реалния живот, Facebook досега е най-доминиращата социална медия от гледна точка на активните потребители. Всеки месец тя отчита пет пъти повече потребители от Twitter. Единственият сайт, който се доближава до тези резултати, е видео сайтът YouTube, който има 1 млрд. активни потребители всеки месец.
