Икономиката на Нова Зеландия е продължила стабилния си растеж през последното тримесечие на 2014 г., водена от солидните разходи на дребно, предава WBP Online.
Ръстът на БВП на тримесечна база се забави до 0,8% през четвъртото тримесечие на 2014 г. от ревизираните 0,9% през тримесечието до края на септември, съобщи Националната статистическа служба на островната страна.
Измерена на годишна база, новозеландската икономика ускори разширението от 3,2% до 3,5% – най-високото ниво от септември 2007 г. насам.
В периода октомври-декември търговията на дребно в страната нарасна с 2,3% на фона на по-високите туристически разходи. Финансовите и застрахователните услуги пък се покачиха с 1,1% през четвъртото тримесечие в сравнение с предишните три месеца.
Общият размер на икономиката достигна около 240 млрд. щатски долара през миналата година. От тях 135 млрд. долара разходи на домакинствата, 45 млрд. долара държавни разходи, 55 млрд. долара инвестиционни разходи, както и 70 млрд. долара по формата на постъпленията от износ. Разходите за внос пък са били 65 млрд. долара.
Последните данни подчертават състоянието на икономиката на Нова Зеландия по време на период на слаба инфлация, ниски лихвени проценти, както и висок ръст на заетостта. Преди седмица централната банка заяви, че е вероятно да запази лихвите на текущите нива през цялата година. Институцията посочи, че следващият курс на движение на ставките нагоре или надолу ще зависи от икономическите данни.
Едно от най-големите опасения за централната банка са спадащите инфлационни очаквания. Според институцията високият ръст на БВП ще се запази, но резкият спад на световните цени на горивата, слабата глобална инфлация и сравнително високият обменен курс ще продължи да потиска покачването на потребителските цени в Нова Зеландия.
